Musikiwest presents "The Degenerates" @ 7PM

Musikiwest renown musicians will once again be visiting area schools prior to this public percformance sharing their scripted open rehearsals using the collaborative nature of chamber music to build empathic awareness. Made possible in part by a generous grant from Yellow Brick Road  Musikiwest will engage with hundreds of area school children at no cost to the schools. In this program entitled The Degenerates we will explore the works of composers categorized as such by the Nazi regime for the color of their skin or their religion. The inspired String Quartet # 2 of Florence Price will be shared along with string Quartet No. 1 in A major by Alexander Zemlinsky and String Quartet No. 1 in E flat major by Felix Mendelssohn. Our musicians for this program are: Gabriela Diaz, Siwoo Kim, David Samuel and Michelle Djokic.
