Manzanita Music Collective - "Folk Infusion"
Our program infused with folk music and fairy tales takes us on exotic journeys imbued with Spanish sunshine, Gaelic tunes and the heroic tale of a Russian prince's escape from the underworld. Fairy Tale - Leos Janacek, String Trio - Jean Cras, Piano Quartet - Joaquin Turina.

About the Event
The folk melodies of many cultures inbue each of our compositions for this beguilingly tuneful program. The versatile team of musicians will be comprised of the rising star and brilliant pianist, Allegra Chapman. Violionist Alisa Rose, equally comfortable in the languages of jazz, classical, folk and bluegrass was a member of the Quartet San Francisco when our cellist Michelle Djokic was also a member and they shared their Grammy Nomionation for the QSF Plays Brubeck CD. Our violist Cynthia Black graduate of the Cleveland Institue of Music and a regular at the Carmel Bach Festival embarks with us on our muscial journey.
