About the Event

Georgy Gusev is a world travelling cellist and composer who combines a huge range of musical styles from baroque to ultra-contemporary and brings music to the most unexpected places.

His works and original shows: Cello Drive, Tree of Life, Industrial Symphony, Deconstructed Opera, were premiered in such places and venues as: Carnegie Hall, Beijing Opera House, Musikmesse Frankfurt, Moscow Cello Festival, California NAMM show, Maui Puunene Sugar Mill and many others.

He is a graduate of the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory and Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. Through past decade Georgy Gusev gives master classes in North/South Americas, Europe, Asia and often holds the position of Artistic Director of music festivals in USA, Italy and Russia.

'The Traveller's Diary' is a Cello Solo program that has been evolving through the course of the last 15 years of Georgy's travelings and culture explorations in Far East, Middle East, Africa, Europe, North/Central/South Americas, Polynesian Islands. The program consists of selected originals and arrangements of Music from Baroque and Romantic Era, traditional folk tunes as well as original Georgy's compositions dedicated to various wonders of our world from past to present.
