FREE Bach's Lunch with Marielle Murphy

Meet, hear and converse with locally grown superstar Marielle Murphy in the intimacy of SandBox. She performs on the Carmel Music Society subscritpion series on the following day, Sunday, January 25th @ 3PM with pianist Alden Gatt.

“Brilliant” (The New York Times) Soprano Marielle Murphy, a native of Carmel, California, made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera for the 2023/24 season in the role of Oscar in David Alden’s production of Verdi’s Un Ballo in Maschera, under the baton of Carlo Rizzi. She returns to the Met in the 2025/26 season to cover the role of Fiakermilli in Strauss’ Arabella. She will also appear on the concert stage in recital with the Carmel Music Society at the Sunset Cultural Center alongside her long-time collaborator, Alden Gatt, among other engagements TBA.
