California is facing unprecedented housing affordability and homelessness crises. How did things get so bad? How is the government responding? Where are we making progress? Liam Dillon of the Los Angeles Times and Gimme Shelter podcast gives us a detailed overview of the crisis.
Liam Dillon covers the issues of housing affordability and neighborhood change across California for the Los Angeles Times. He joined the Times in 2016 and prior to his current assignment based in Los Angeles, Liam covered state politics and policy for The Times’ Sacramento Bureau. He’s a graduate of Georgetown University and grew up outside Philadelphia.
Liam and CalMatters reporter, Manuela Tobias, host the “Gimme Shelter” podcast examining important housing policy issues in California, which publishes every other week.
